Let’s take a look at the results of this visual experiment!

For this experiment was used AI Midjourney. It’s very simple - you put a text input inside and it generates four images. You can upscale them if you like them, or make variations - generations from them to get a similar image with a few changes.

Notice how each generation looks more “evil“. It’s because AI is adding more and more details while upscaling and variating those images and therefore it many times looks like an insect’s legs and slowly mutates the image to something more organic.

First Generation

These were the very first plants getting out of the AI. I fall in love with those colors, softness, and style.

Second Generation

By adding more detail and making variations, I get these pictures. Interesting how they mostly look as paintings.

Third Generation

While adding more and more details, plants start to look more unrealistic, or alien-like.

Fourth Generation

With the fourth generation, the lovely plants look a bit more organic-insect-ish.
