Cicadas

Lighting objects created for the Nocturno festival in Kremnica held in Zechenters garden next to Akropola.

These already technologically looking cicadas were created by modifying the shapes of the traditional costume embroidery shapes from the district of Piestany. Or alien shapes? Everyone sees something different in them, and that is also their charm.

All cicadas were shining in multicolor asynchronous lights making an atmospheric ambient light inside Zechenters garden.

Out of old costume embroidery

The shape of cicadas in my new lighting installation is created from modified embroidery on an old traditional costume design from the Piestany region where I was born. Playing with the shape brought to life a completely new look!
